 INSTRUCTOR RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • KISS Kiteboarding Instructors will have a solid knowledge base of safe kiteboarding techniques.

  • They will always set a good example of safe and courteous practices both on and off the water.

  • They will strive to set the highest standards with their work practices and personal kiteboarding.

  • They undertake to abide by the standards of the KISS System and Will always represent themselves professionally at all times as their conduct reflects on all KISS Instructors worldwide.

  • They have a “Duty of Care” to all beach users around them.

  • They have a legal obligation to provide a safe environment for their students.

  • They help to create a safe and cooperative community and environment.

  • They are required to be trained in first Aid and CPR and should be prepared to render assistance when the need arises.

  • They are good communicators and are always friendly and approachable.

 

CODE OF CONDUCT

UNIFORMS help the instructor Increase their visibility and imply some authority.

APPEARANCE should always be clean and businesslike. (No smoking/ drinking in front of students etc.)

CONDUCT should always be professional and good humored.

HUMILITY a good Instructor will know their limitations and be able to refer students when necessary. (If you don’t know the answer, say you don’t know the answer and you will find out the information.)

MODESTY never overstate your skills, it’s better to say that you are always learning higher levels.

 

 CERTIFICATION

Upon successful completion of the training course the instructor will receive a certificate signed by the instructor trainer.
